TRAFFIC ADVICE
FOR
LEAVING STRATFORD RACECOURSE
In order to assist your journey home and get as speedy an exit as possible
from the racecourse, please follow these guidelines:
- If you are parked in the Centre Course. Go to course Crossing 'B',
the one closest to Stratford town. Cross the course and turn right down the
track. Do not cross the course and go straight over. This simply takes you
back into the traffic jams along the Evesham road. If you turn right, you
will get taken to the Seven Meadows road. From here, you have to turn left
and go round the roundabout and back, for safety reasons, but you have
superb access to the roads to Moreton, Stow, Circencester, Broadway,
Cheltenham or Banbury. You cross back into the town for the Motorway network
and routes to the North, but this approach is much better than the Evesham
road.
- If you are parked in the main car parks. There is usually
congestion going out of the main gate because traffic is controlled at the T
junction with the Evesham road. Almost inevitably, delays occur. If there is
a big queue going out the main exit, cross over to the centre course via
Course Crossing 'A' and proceed as above. this is far better than getting
frustrated and sitting in a queue.
- If you do not have to leave the track immediately. Make use of the
course facilities for Afternoon tea, and miss the rush! Delaying your
departure for 20 minutes to half an hour can make all the difference.
- At all times: please observe the Traffic Marshalls. they are there
to help get the traffic out as fast as possible.
